Parsha Thoughts

1. Shemot 7:24. It is common knowlegde ofthe Midrash that states that during the plague of Blood, the Mitzriyim  were forced to buy drinkable water from the Jews. See Even Ezra for a completely different understanding. This is based on the pasuk that seems to indicate another technique was attempted, but makes no mention of such sales.

2. Shemot 9:10. For the maceh of shechin, Moshe throws the ash in the air in the face of Paroh. Why? See the Sipurno who says that this maceh could easily have been been mistaken for a natural disaster of bad air.
